The mighty Brahmaputra River flows down form Tibet. Brahmaputra the River flows in between the state and its Assam accentuate the state's beauty. Tourists are attached with the sunshine and sunset and the cool wisps of a fluttering evening. The cities and the town of Assam had the historic past. The ancient name of State was Pragjyoutispur. The state carried lots of lots of vibrant colours and mixed culture. The behaviour of the people is very much friendly and cultured.
The main tribe in Assam are Hindu (Assamese). They are using Assamese as a main language and often used Hindi and English. Out of the total population 70 % are related to the agriculture. They are used rice as their main food.
The main festival of Assam is Bihu. There are three Bihu in a year. The Bihu is celebrated in the Month of April, October and January in a year.
Assam was the first place when the British’s established India’s 1st oil refinery in Digboi. Island Majuli is world’s largest river island. 15 Vaishnava monasteries or satras are located on Majuli. The Assam is mainly famous in natural beauties.

In Assam we found 4273 types of trees and identified 218 verities of birds in the forests. Assam is a home to fabled one horned Rhinoceros and famous for silk cloth (PAAT MUGA) in the world. Haflong is picturesque hill station where we can see the rainbow down and the jatinga famous for the unexplained phenomenon of migratory birds committing mass suicide. Sivsagar has 200 years old tank and Shivadol one of the three temples is said to the highest Shiva temple in India. Manas national park is Located on the banks of the river Manas, it is well known for tigers. Again,Kaziranga National Park, famous for one horned Rhino and it is located in Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam. This wildlife sanctuary is being declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1985. Kamakhya temple is the one of the famous temple in India. Myth logically Lord Vishnu severed corpse of Parvati into pieces with Sudarshan Charkra while Lord Shiva was carrying her dead body. Legends reveal that her yoni or vagina fell here making it one of the most sacred of Shaktipitas. There are so many tourist’s places in Assam. These are hajo, barpeta, tezpur (sonitpur) and so on...
